Family Camp
Get away from it all.
Recharge your family life.
August 1-8, 2010
This week will be like no other family camp you’ve ever experienced. You’ll have a chance to slow down and rekindle your walk with Christ, reconnect with your family and rejuvenate your passion for ministry. Here’s just a sampling of what you can look forward to.
Spiritual Refreshment
For those interested in a deep study of the God’s Word, you’ll be challenged by our early morning study time led by Dr. John McVay, President of Walla Walla University. Our morning camp council will be a time for the whole family to worship and be fed spiritually and will feature a speaker who can communicate to a broad spectrum of ages. And of course every evening you’ll be treated a special campfire drama production performed by our staff.
Morning Classes
Alongside the usual morning classes taught at camp, we will offer a number of specialty seminars and classes taught by a variety of experts including Dan Serns, NPUC Ministerial Director and Larry Yeagley, retired pastor and hospital chaplain.
Reconnecting with Family
You’ll be able to build a camp experience that best suits you and your family. All the activities and fun of camp will be available from the waterfront to the horse barn and the challenge course to the craft department. But if you and your family decide to sleep in or hang out by the lake – no one’s going to care. This is your time.
Special Events
We’re going to pull out all the stops out for you this week. Here’s just a few of the activities we’re planning.
- Optional Sunrise hike and breakfast at Mt. Rainier National Park
- Float trips down the Green River
- Softball, Dutch Blitz and other tournaments
- Mid-week Banquet
- Candlelight commitment time around the lake
- Plus a few other surprises we’re keeping under our hat!
Flexible Schedule
We encourage you to come and spend the entire week with us – after all you deserve it! But if schedules are a problem we are giving you several options.
- Full Week – Clear your schedule now and plan on experiencing the entire week. Trust me; you’ll be glad you did.
- Sunday through Wednesday – This is the traditional schedule of the pastor’s retreat, for those who are unable to get a weekend free, this is schedule will work for you.
