Overview
As a parent, you play an important in your child’s camp experience. The preparations you make before your child comes to Sunset Lake will help your child get the most out of their week of camp. And the follow up you give after the week is over, will help cement the life-changing decisions they have made.
We are excited about partnering with you in the important work of parenting that God has called you to. We value the trust you place in us by sending your child to Sunset Lake and we seek to be a resource and encouragement to you. Please let us know if there is any way that we can better serve you.
Parental Notification Policy
Since all treatment of campers shall be recorded, a record of all emergency and first aid treatment by Sunset Lake staff and volunteers shall be filed in the Sunset Lake health and medical files. After the initial examination, the parent or legal guardian shall be notified if the condition warrants it, or if the camper is sent off campus to seek medical attention by the camp physician or an emergency department.
