"How To" Procedures (registration, drop-off, pick-up)
- REGISTERING YOUR CAMPER: We recommend that you apply online using our camper registration process powered by CampRegister. Or, complete the paper form. If you registered online last year, you can login to your established account. If you are new to the online registration system, please login as a "new user".
- MANAGING YOUR ACCOUNT: When registering your camper, you will be given the following payment options:
- Payment in full - using MasterCard, VISA, or eCheck
- $50 deposit (per session), with the balance due before the start of the camp session, using MasterCard, VISA, or eCheck
- $50 deposit (per session), with the "auto-billing authorization " option*, to be charged to your credit card on the date of the camp session
To make future payments towards an outstanding balance, simply log into your Online Account and choose "make a payment". Please make note that all outstanding balances must be paid in full prior to the start of the camp session.
- *AUTO-BILLING AUTHORIZATION: When registering your camper check the "auto-billing authorization " box. By agreeing to these terms, the account balance (for that camp session) will automatically be charged to the credit card on file on the Friday prior to your camper's registration. By choosing this option, it will eliminate the worry of whether or not your account is paid prior to checking in. It will be done for you automatically. One less line to stand in at registration and one less thing to add to your list!
- RECEIVING CONFIRMATION & FORMS: Once you've completed the online registration you will automatically receive a confirmation email containing more detailed information about camp, health history and physical exam verification, camper code of conduct, and a parental consent/release forms. Please watch for that email!
If you apply using a hard copy application and included an email on the application, please check your InBox for the confirmation email from Sunset Lake Camp. The email will contain all of the information you need to know including all of the required forms as stated above. These forms should be filled out and mailed to us in advance in order to streamline the registration process when you arrive at camp. You will be glad you did! If you have any difficulty downloading them from the email, the same forms are also available to download from this website under "Forms".
If you do not have an email address and have submitted a hard copy application, you will receive a confirmation letter and forms in the mail.
- CABIN MATE REQUESTS: Friends signing up for the same camp session may request to be cabin-mates. Every effort is made to accommodate these requests when possible.
- STAYING MULTIPLE WEEKS: As long as it is "age appropriate" for your child, we do accept requests for campers to stay multiple weeks. Free laundry service and Sunday supervision is provided for campers staying more than one week.
- COMMUNICATION: Campers love to get mail and packages from home. For the health of all of our campers, please refrain from sending candy or items containing lots of sugar. Address your camper mail as follows:

You may also choose to send emails to your camper. Emails should be sent to Camper Email
. Emails received by 10am will be distributed during that morning's mail call. Emails received after that time will be held until the following day. Please remember, cell phones are NOT permitted, and phone calls should only be used as a form of communication if there is a family emergency.
- CANCELLATIONS: If your camper is unable to attend, you are required to notify the Camp Office no later than one week prior to the camp session. Your refund, less the $50 deposit, will be returned to you based on the original method of payment. If notice is given less than one week prior to the camp session, please see "Camp Policies" for further details.
- BAPTISM POLICY: Baptisms are a high point at Sunset Lake Camp. If your camper would like to be baptized as a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church at Sunset Lake, please make arrangements ahead of time.
Baptismal candidates need to have completed a set of preparatory Bible Studies with a parent or pastor and need to have the approval of both the parent and a local Adventist pastor. If your child makes a decision for baptism at camp, we will provide you with a set of family-based studies and notify your pastor so he can assist you in the preparation process.

- REGISTRATION/CHECK-IN TIME: Registration is on Sunday from 3 to 5 pm. Our staff is committed to making your child's week at camp the best it can be. They are totally involved with camp preparation details and cannot accept early registrations or have parents drop off their children before 3:00 pm. To pick up a camper, you MUST be on the camper's approved pick-up list and be prepared to show proper photo ID.
- SWIM TEST: Please come prepared on registration day for your child to take a swim test.
- CHECK-OUT/PICK-UP TIME: Those PICKING UP campers on Sunday morning should arrive by 9:00 am. To pick up a camper you must be on the camper's approved pick-up list, and be prepared to show proper photo ID.
