Base Camps

REGISTRATION IS OPEN! Let the adventure begin. Experience everything that camp has to offer in a fun, safe environment. Our carefully trained counselors will make this week a fantastic experience.

Class List
When you register your child for a Base Camp, you can choose from one of these exciting classes (Adventure campers don’t sign up for classes):

  1. Aquatics – wakeboarding, canoeing, and water activities
  2. Archery – learn technique and enjoy shooting adventures
  3. Art Studio – ceramics, pottery, painting, arts, and crafts
  4. Bikes – experience mountain and BMX biking
  5. Challenge Course – High Ropes Course and team building
  6. Culinary – learn cooking skills
  7. Into the WILD – wilderness skills and nature
  8. Rock Climbing – experience real rock adventures
  9. TEAM Challenge – discover a variety of team sports
  10. Top Gear Adventure – RZR 170 driving skills and small engine care

Junior Plus! 9-11 7/8-7/15 register
Tween 12-13 7/15-7/22 register

What to BringDSC_0659

Bible, everyday play/activity wear, towel(s), rain gear, sweaters or warm jacket, long pants (required for some activities), appropriate footwear, camp church clothes, insect repellent, sunscreen, water bottle, disposable camera, flashlight, modest swimsuit, toothpaste/brush, shampoo, comb/brush, towels, washcloths, sleeping bag/pillow, medications (if applicable), stamps and stationary to write home with, backpack/bag, store money (optional).

Don’t forget to bring a good friend to share the fun with!

Because they are mandatory for certain activities, you are required to bring closed-toed shoes (tennis shoes, etc.), and long pants. Crocs, ballet flats, etc. will not be acceptable substitutes for those activities.

8:00 Breakfast: Pancakes with all the fixings, fresh fruit and OJ.
9:00 Morning worship
9:40 Morning class: Wakeboarding in Aquatics Class.
12:20 Mail call: Today may be the day you get a package or letter from home!
12:30 Lunch: Pizza, fresh salad and homemade berry juice.
1:30 Cabin time: A great time to journal and relax.
2:30 Activity 1: A trip to the camp store!
3:35 Activity 2: Shooting arrows at the archery range.
4:40 Activity 3: A trail ride in the woods near the horse barn.
5:55 Line call
6:00 Supper: Spaghetti & “meatballs”, veggies, and brownies for desert! Note: Vegan and gluten-free options are always available!
7:15 Recreation: Tonight’s game is Capture the Flag!
8:00 Flag lowering: Cabin Maple’s turn to lower the flag.
8:15 Campfire program: Watch an installment of the evening play enacted by Sunset Lake staff!
9:15 Sunset Circles
9:30 Cabin worship
10:00 Time to get some rest before we do it all again tomorrow!
