Summer camp ministry will always be the heart and soul of Sunset Lake.

Phase 1 of the development plan addresses the most immediate needs of the camp. The projects in Phase 1 were chosen because they require a relatively small initial investment and can be maintained with the existing staff. When completed these projects will bring excellence to the summer program and provide a strong foundation on which to build a dynamic year-round ministry.

Project Summary
  • Covered basketball court
  • Western-themed barn area - includes 24-bed bunkhouse, a wagon train and Native American cedar longhouse
  • Go-cart track - a sculptured cement track with 12 carts
  • Refurbished Hillside Village - cabins will be remodeled with bathrooms
  • Hillside Lodge - meeting and eating area for up to 75 people
  • Pioneer Inn upgrades - tables, chairs, serving decks and room divider
  • Prayer Path - with gazebo and trailside benches
  • Two new cabins - completes Timber and Cascade Villages
